Recite these from after Asr until the night falls (and until midnight if you miss that time). Most are the same as the morning remembrances, with the wording changed for the evening.

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Transliteration
Allahu la ilaha illa huwa, al-Hayyul-Qayyum. La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm. Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard. Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih. Ya'lamu ma bayna aydihim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuhituna bi-shay'in min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'. Wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samawati wal-ard, wa la ya'uduhu hifzuhuma, wa huwal-'Aliyyul-'Azim.
Meaning
Allah: there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Virtue: The greatest verse of the Quran. Reciting it in the morning and the evening is reported as protection from Allah until the evening and until the morning.

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ﴿١﴾ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ ﴿٢﴾ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ﴿٣﴾ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ﴿٤﴾
Transliteration
Qul huwa Allahu ahad. Allahus-samad. Lam yalid wa lam yulad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad.
Meaning
Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, and there is none comparable to Him.
Virtue: Surah al-Ikhlas is equal to a third of the Quran. Reciting it with the two Mu'awwidhat three times in the morning and evening is reported to suffice a person against everything.

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ﴿١﴾ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿٢﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿٣﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ ﴿٤﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿٥﴾
Transliteration
Qul a'udhu bi-rabbil-falaq. Min sharri ma khalaq. Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab. Wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-'uqad. Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad.
Meaning
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of what He created, from the evil of the darkness when it settles, from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ﴿١﴾ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ﴿٢﴾ إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ ﴿٣﴾ مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ﴿٤﴾ الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ﴿٥﴾ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ﴿٦﴾
Transliteration
Qul a'udhu bi-rabbin-nas. Malikin-nas. Ilahin-nas. Min sharril-waswasil-khannas. Alladhi yuwaswisu fi suduril-nas. Minal-jinnati wan-nas.
Meaning
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws, who whispers in the hearts of mankind, from among jinn and mankind.

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهَا، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ
Transliteration
Amsayna wa amsal-mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah, la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Rabbi as'aluka khayra ma fi hadhihil-laylah wa khayra ma ba'daha, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma fi hadhihil-laylah wa sharri ma ba'daha. Rabbi a'udhu bika minal-kasal wa su'il-kibar. Rabbi a'udhu bika min 'adhabin fin-nar wa 'adhabin fil-qabr.
Meaning
We have reached the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah; all praise is for Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over everything. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil that follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the misery of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
Transliteration
Allahumma bika amsayna, wa bika asbahna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namutu, wa ilaykal-masir.
Meaning
O Allah, by You we reach the evening and by You we reach the morning, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the final return.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَىٰ عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Transliteration
Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa ant, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduk, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu. A'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu. Abu'u laka bi-ni'matika 'alayya, wa abu'u bi-dhanbi faghfir li, fa-innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa ant.
Meaning
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I keep Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
Virtue: The master of seeking forgiveness. Whoever says it with certainty in the evening and dies that night enters Paradise, and likewise if he says it in the morning and dies that day.

اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Transliteration
Allahumma 'afini fi badani, Allahumma 'afini fi sam'i, Allahumma 'afini fi basari, la ilaha illa ant.
Meaning
O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no god but You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي
Transliteration
Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahummastur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahummahfazni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yamini wa 'an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi-'azamatika an ughtala min tahti.
Meaning
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly life, my family and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, protect me from in front of me and behind me, from my right and my left and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being swallowed up from beneath me.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Transliteration
Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama', wa huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim.
Meaning
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Virtue: Whoever says it three times in the morning and three times in the evening, nothing will harm him by Allah's permission.

رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا
Transliteration
Raditu billahi Rabban, wa bil-Islami dinan, wa bi-Muhammadin sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallama nabiyya.
Meaning
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet.
Virtue: Whoever says it three times in the morning and evening, it is a right upon Allah to please him on the Day of Resurrection.

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَىٰ نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ
Transliteration
Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, birahmatika astaghith, aslih li sha'ni kullah, wa la takilni ila nafsi tarfata 'ayn.
Meaning
O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining, in Your mercy I seek relief. Set right all my affairs and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.
Virtue: The Prophet (peace be upon him) advised his daughter Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) to say it every morning and evening.

أَمْسَيْنَا عَلَىٰ فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ، وَعَلَىٰ كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ، وَعَلَىٰ دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَعَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Transliteration
Amsayna 'ala fitratil-Islam, wa 'ala kalimatil-ikhlas, wa 'ala dini nabiyyina Muhammadin sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, wa 'ala millati abina Ibrahima hanifan musliman wa ma kana minal-mushrikin.
Meaning
We have reached the evening upon the natural religion of Islam, the word of sincerity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the faith of our father Ibrahim, upright and Muslim, who was not of the polytheists.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Transliteration
A'udhu bi-kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.
Meaning
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
Virtue: Whoever says it three times in the evening, nothing will harm him that night by Allah's permission.
Said in the evening only.

Transliteration
Subhanallahi wa bihamdih.
Meaning
Glory be to Allah and praise to Him.
Virtue: Whoever says it one hundred times in the morning and one hundred times in the evening, no one will bring anything better on the Day of Resurrection, except someone who said the same or more.

لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Transliteration
La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir.
Meaning
There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over everything.
Virtue: Whoever says it one hundred times in a day gets the reward of freeing ten slaves, a hundred good deeds are written for him, a hundred sins are erased, and it is a shield from Satan for that day.
Say it ten times in the morning; reaching one hundred during the day earns the reward mentioned.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Transliteration
Astaghfirullaha wa atubu ilayh.
Meaning
I seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance.
Virtue: The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day, and in another report one hundred times.
