How prayer times are calculated here
Times in United States use the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) method (Fajr 15°, Isha 15°), calculated from each city's coordinates. The country spans several time zones, so each city shows its times in its own local time, including daylight saving time where it applies. Because the Sun rises and sets in the east before the west, the call to prayer in eastern cities comes about 4 minutes earlier per degree of longitude than in western ones, which is why times differ between cities of the same country. They may differ by a few minutes from local mosque timetables, which often use local rounding.
